Poker Master ("we", "us") operates this application and acts as the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described below.
Contact for privacy matters: privacy@pokermaster.app.
Account data: display name, chosen in-game avatar, and — if you sign in with Google — the email address returned by Google. Your Google profile picture is not used as your game avatar.
Gameplay data: hands played, wins, chip balance, streaks, achievements, purchases of virtual items, and room/tournament participation.
Device and preference data: sound, vibration and animation settings and install-prompt state stored locally on your device. For session security we retain a keyed, pseudonymous IP hash and a shortened browser user-agent string. The sign-in session is held in a Secure, HttpOnly cookie that application scripts cannot read.
We do not collect payment card data, bank details, government IDs, precise location, contacts, photos, or biometric data.
Under Section 4 of the DPDP Act we process your data only for lawful purposes for which you have given consent, or for legitimate uses permitted by the Act.
Purposes: creating and securing your account, running multiplayer games, maintaining leaderboards and achievements, tracking your play-chip wallet, preventing cheating and abuse, and fixing bugs.
You give consent when you create an account or continue as a guest. Consent is specific, informed and can be withdrawn at any time.
You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing privacy@pokermaster.app or deleting your account from Settings. Withdrawal is as easy as giving consent.
After withdrawal we stop processing your data and erase it, unless retention is required by law. Note that withdrawing consent means you can no longer use online multiplayer features.
Right to access: request a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed.
Right to correction and erasure: correct inaccurate data, complete incomplete data, or ask us to erase data no longer needed.
Right to grievance redressal: raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer (Section 13).
Right to nominate: nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity.
We respond to verified requests within 30 days.
Poker Master is intended for users aged 18 and above. In line with Section 9 of the DPDP Act, we do not knowingly process the data of children under 18 without verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian.
We do not carry out behavioural tracking or targeted advertising directed at children.
If we learn that a child's account exists, we will disable it and erase the associated data.
We do not sell or rent personal data.
Limited data is shared with service providers acting as Data Processors under contract — authentication, database and hosting providers — solely to run the app.
Your display name, avatar, level and chip totals are visible to other players in leaderboards and in rooms you join. Do not use personal information as your display name.
We may disclose data where required by Indian law or a lawful order.
We keep account and gameplay data while your account is active. If your account stays inactive or you withdraw consent, we erase or anonymise the data unless a law requires us to keep it.
Locally stored preferences remain on your device until you clear app data or uninstall.
We apply reasonable security safeguards as required by Section 8(5) of the DPDP Act, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls on the database, row-level access rules, and server-authoritative game logic so that cards and results cannot be manipulated by clients.
No system is perfectly secure. If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify affected users and the Data Protection Board of India as required.
We use a Secure, HttpOnly, SameSite session cookie to keep you signed in, and local storage only for non-sensitive preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Data may be stored or processed on servers outside India by our hosting providers. Such transfers are made only to countries not restricted by the Central Government under Section 16 of the DPDP Act.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified in the app. Continued use after the notice constitutes acceptance.
In accordance with Section 13 of the DPDP Act and the Information Technology Act, 2000, you can contact our Grievance Officer:
Grievance Officer, Poker Master — grievance@pokermaster.app.
We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 30 days. If unsatisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
